13When Joshua was near Jericho , he lifted up his eyes and saw before him a man with a drawn sword in his hand.

当若苏厄走近耶里哥时，举目一望，看见一个人立在他面前，手持脱鞘的刀。

And Josue said to the children of Israel : Come hither and hear the word of the Lord your God .

若苏厄又吩咐以色列子民说：「你们前来静听上主你们天主的话。」

9So they went: and surveying it divided it into seven parts, writing them down in a book . And they returned to Josue, to the camp in Silo.

这些人就去走遍全境，将所有城市分成七分，写在书册上，回到史罗营中呈给若苏厄。

And Josue went up from Galgal, and all the army of the warriors with him , most valiant men.

若苏厄遂亲率他的一切军民，和所有的精兵，从基耳加耳上去了。

Jesus, whilst he fulfilled the word , was made ruler in Israel .

若苏厄因满全了天主的命，才作了以色列的民长。

And it was told Josue that the five kings were found hidden in a cave of the city of Maceda.

有人来通知若苏厄说：「那五个王子已被发现，藏在玛刻达山洞里。」

Moses rose up, and his minister Josue: and Moses going up into the mount of God .

梅瑟和他的侍从若苏厄起身上天主的山时。

And he returned with all Israel to the place of the camp in Galgal.

以后，若苏厄和所有跟随他的以色列人，回到基耳加耳营。

Joshua and the Israelites pretended that they were being defeated , and so fled to the road leading to the wilderness .

若苏厄和以色列人在他们面前诈败，沿著往旷野的路奔逃。

And Josue said to the people : Be ye sanctified: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you .

若苏厄对百姓说：「你们应该自洁，因为上主明天要在你们中间行神迹。」
