And he said unto them , Behold , the king 's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David .

Now Jehoiada was old and full of years , and he died at the age of a hundred and thirty.

耶何耶大年纪老迈，日子满足而死。死的时候年一百三十岁。

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king , and said , Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too .

耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅对王说，阿们。愿耶和华我主我王的神也这样命定。

Joash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord all the years Jehoiada the priest instructed him .

约阿施在祭司耶何耶大教训他的时候，就行耶和华眼中看为正的事。

And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people , and between the king , that they should be the LORD's people .

耶何耶大与众民和王立约，都要作耶和华的民。

Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah , and made obeisance to the king . Then the king hearkened unto them .

耶何耶大死后，犹大的众首领来朝拜王。王就听从他们。

And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him , and said , God save the king .

耶何耶大和众子膏他，众人说，愿王万岁。

Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him , but slew his son .

这样，约阿施王不想念撒迦利亚的父亲耶何耶大向自己所施的恩，杀了他的儿子。

As long as Jehoiada lived , burnt offerings were presented continually in the temple of the Lord .

耶何耶大在世的时候，众人常在耶和华殿里献燔祭。

And Jehoiada took for him two wives ; and he begat sons and daughters .

耶何耶大为他娶了两个妻，并且生儿养女。
